“From Standing Rock to Palestine, Occupation is a Crime”
In late 2016 the world witnessed the brutal crackdown by state forces on the Water Protectors protesting the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline across Standing Rock Indian Reservation. In Palestine, the Zionist occupation has continued for 70 years. There are over six million Palestinians who are refugees or in exile, one of the largest diasporic populations in the world, and the israeli program of settlements and military occupation has created an apartheid society in Palestine. We want to draw connections between these struggles as the United States, our government, has stolen immeasurable land and life from the native peoples of this continent.
